Who is James Lindner?
Ask James Lindner what he does and he’ll probably confess to being a revealing storyteller, earnest wine drinker and ardent advocate of his beloved Barossa.
James is also defined by the passion he holds and the commitment he gives to his family’s winery, Langmeil Winery, as its sales and marketing manager.
For James, the opportunity to work with his family in the wine business is something he holds in the upmost highest regard. “It has afforded me many opportunities to travel the world and meet like-minded people while reinforcing just how privileged we are to live in such a beautiful part of the world.”

This event is an exclusive experience designed for retail liquor store employees and front-of-house staff to expand their knowledge of Barossa wines. Hosted by Knowbie and James Lindner of Langmeil Winery, the event includes a wine tasting, lunch, expert insights, and an opportunity to network with other FOH staff like yourself.

Yes! The event is completely free to attend. However, spaces are limited, so be sure to register early to secure your spot.

The event will be held on October 11, 2024 at The Stack on 1133 Melville St., Vancouver BC. The venue is located on the 15th floor. Detailed location information, including parking and transport options, will be provided in your confirmation email after registration.
No need to bring anything special! Just come ready to learn, taste some incredible wines, and connect with fellow industry pros.
This event is primarily for retail liquor and FOH staff (including support staff) so we ask that you only register if you fulfill that requirement. We will have more events in the future so stay tuned!
Yes, a light lunch will be available after the wine tasting portion of the event.
You’ll get the chance to taste a selection of premium wines from Langmeil Winery located in the renowned Barossa region, including wines such as:
- Hangin Snakes Shiraz
- Prime Cut Shiraz
- Valley Floor Shiraz
- Orphan Bank Shiraz
Absolutely! Just make sure they register for the event and are a FOH staff or retail liquor store employee like you.
There is no strict dress code, but smart casual or your usual work attire is recommended. We also ask you to please not wear any perfume or cologne as it interferes with the wines.
